Artwork Yard Stick Display

Posted in Craft Ideas at 8:06 pm by admin

Recently Gavin started preschool and he loves to paint. He has lots of pictures that I want to display but we already have so much stuff on our fridge. So this was the perfect craft for me!!

I plan to hang this on the side of our pantry where everyone can see it. Gavin will be so proud to show off his artwork!

For this craft I took a yard stick that I bought at Walmart and sawed it in half. I drilled a hole in the other end. You can also use a ruler in you want to avoid using power tools. I took random tags and chipboard flowers (painted green and orange) are “Pressed Petals”.

The striped paper is by “doodlebug” and black school house paper is “Reminisce”. I cut the paper tags out using decorative scissors from Joanns. The ribbons are from Michaels. The “ArtWork” letters are cut using my Sizzix machine “Serif” alphabet.

I hot glued all of the tags on for durability. I also added 4 clothespins to the back using hot glue. The hanger is ribbon tied through the holes at the top to help it hang straight. Total time to complete this craft 2 hrs.

Family

Posted in Scrapbook Pages at 9:44 pm by admin

Now that we are a family of 4, I love to do layouts with our family pictures! This was our 1st professional photo taken at Portrait Innovations for our Christmas cards!

img_0895.JPG

Super easy layout. This paper is by Stemma “Families are Forever”. The ribbon is from Michaels craft store and the burlap twine is from Joann’s fabrics. The tags are Making Memories and I inked the edges with Jim Holtz’s Distress Ink “Vintage Photo”. The stamps for our names were ordered from a local stamp/scrapbook store, but any alphabet stamps will do!

The photo was printed in sepia tone with a canvas border, printed at Wal-mart. The photo is attached with Zots 3D adhesive. Total time to complete this layout 30 minutes.

All Seasons

Posted in Scrapbook Pages at 5:48 pm by admin

It’s amazing to me how fast the year goes by! I love this layout because it includes some of my favorite pictures from each season! Gavin is growing so big! He loves the snow and visiting the beach was his favorite place this year!

 img_0939.JPG

This layout was really simple. I used SEI Sporty paper and Making Memories gameboard letters for the seasons.  Making Memories silver brads. All the pictures and title are matted on white cardstock and the title is printed on vellum and mounted with “zots” 3D adhesive(from Hobby Lobby) to add depth to the page!

The toughest part of this layout was lining up the letters and pictures so they are somewhat straight! Estimated time 45 minutes

Addi

It’s amazing how fast kids grow. I took Gavin’s picture every month and I have continued that same tradition with Addison. Here is her 1 month picture.

I used the new Heidi Grace line. The paper, chipboard stickers, and die-cuts are all “Snowflake Park”. I used navy blue and vanilla bazzill cardstock for the matting. Generic flower from a local scrapbook store.
